Graphical depiction of the weather story for today.

For today and tonight:
Northeast Colorado will be between two weather systems today. Areas
of light rain will diminish in the northeast corner as one storm
over the Central Plains exits. Meanwhile, isolated snow showers
over the mountains will increase this afternoon as the next system
approaches. The higher mountains will get 1 to 4 inches of snow
overnight with lighter amounts in the valleys and foothills. On the
plains, there will be a chance of rain and snow showers again
tonight but the precipitation will be light.

For Wednesday through Monday:
Unseasonably cool and unsettled weather conditions can be expected
Wednesday and Thursday, with snow at times in the mountains, and a
chance of rain and snow at lower elevations. Significant snow
accumulation is not expected at this time and any snowfall on the
plains will mostly likely melt due to relatively mild ground and air
temperatures. By Friday drier and slightly warmer conditions will
return to the outlook area as high pressure builds in from the west.
Dry and even warmer conditions are in store for the weekend and
early next week with temperatures on the plains climbing to the
lower 60s by Tuesday. Although mountain areas may see another shot
of light snow and gusty winds on Sunday with passage of a weak upper
level weather disturbance.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
