A cool and dry air airmass will be in place across the area tonight. This airmass, combined with clear skies and decreasing winds, will allow for temperatures to drop well below seasonal averages through early Tuesday morning. In fact, temperatures are expected to fall to at or slightly below freezing for a few hours across portions of the the San Luis Valley, and has prompted the issuance of a Freeze Warning effective from 3 am to 7 am Tuesday.
