It appears the weak upper level low over ern ut and wrn co will come out in two pieces. One piece of energy over swrn co will move east into sern co by aftn while the rest of the trough moves across overnight. First piece of energy will produce a good chc of snow in the mtns especially south of i-70 by late morning and possibly in the srn foothills by aftn with some of this pcpn moving across the palmer divide as well. By tonight a surge of cooler air will move into nern co in the evening and as second part of upper level trough moves across could see a better chc of light snow overnight fm the foothills across the plains mainly south of a line fm denver to srn parts of washington county.
